Susan Boyle finds love at last - singer is dating an American doctor and he's her FIRST boyfriend.
They say good things come to those who wait!. Well, Susan Boyle has waited 53 years for a boyfriend, and she's finally got one!
Now, it looks like Boyle's love life has finally taken a turn in the right direction. During a chat with Britain's The Sun newspaper, Boyle revealed she had a new man in her life -- and he's an American doctor!
The pair met during a recent six-week promotional tour of the US, at a luxury hotel in Florida. According to Boyle, the doctor (who comes from Connecticut) was the "perfect gentleman," and the pair enjoyed a romantic lunch together. He plans to visit the singer, who has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, at her home in Scotland.
"It’s early days but we enjoy each other’s company," Boyle told the outlet. "We just got talking in the hotel and I thought he seemed friendly enough. He wasn’t a fan but he knew who I was. He invited me out for lunch the next day, we had a nice chat and spoke about lots of things including our careers," she continued.
"He was the perfect gentleman and even paid the bill. Afterwards we exchanged details. When we said goodbye he gave me a peck on the cheek," she added.
"It's very early days so we'll see what happens. I hope he comes over," SuBo revealed about his plans to visit her. "I don't want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him. All I'll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy."
Boyle, who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome last year, did share an on-screen smooch with actor James Cosmo during the making of her debut movie The Christmas Candle in 2013.
"I didn't know about the kissing scene when I signed up, but I wasn't complaining," the chart-topping singer admitted at the time.
